Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola will take on Barcelona for the first time since leaving in 2012 after the current Bundesliga leaders were paired with the Spanish giants in the Champions League semi-final draw on Friday.
The Bavarians, who won the Champions League in 2013, thumped Porto 6-1 to progress with a 7-4 aggregate win, while Luis Enrique’s men outclassed French champions Paris Saint-Germain 5-1 on aggregate.
In the other tie Juventus will face defending champions Real Madrid.
Los Merengues, seeking an 11th title, will be at home in the second leg against the Italian side who are making their first appearance in the semis for 12 years.
The two teams previously locked horns in the group stages in 2013-14, with Cristiano Ronaldo’s team-mates edging out the Italians 2-1 at home and then recording a 2-2 draw in Turin in the second fixture.
The first legs will be played on 5 and 6 May, with the return matches a week later.
The showpiece match will be held in Berlin on June 6.
