Champions League: Real face tough Juventus challenge

Italian giants Juventus entertain Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday looking to reach their first final since 2003.

Massimiliano Allegri’s men, who clinched their fourth straight Serie A title with victory over Sampdoria on Saturday, will be without midfielder Paul Pogba. The Frenchman has been ruled out despite making good progress following a thigh injury.

French international Karim Benzema was not named in the 20-man squad that travelled to Turin after failing to recover from a knee injury.

Former Tottenham winger Gareth Bale is set to start up front with the in-form Cristiano Ronaldo who scored the 29th hat-trick of his Real Madrid career on Saturday to drag Los Merengues back up to just two points behind Barcelona.

All eyes will be on former Bacelona coach Pep Guardiola on Wednesday night when Bayern Munich take on the Catalans in the first leg of their semi-final clash at the Camp Nou.
