Hull star Jake Livermore 'tests positive for cocaine'

Hull City midfielder Jake Livermore has tested positive for cocaine, according to a report in the Daily Telegraph.

The newspaper claims that Livermore, who has one cap for England, failed the test after Hull’s win over Crystal Palace in April as he tested positive for the recreational drug.

According to the Telegraph, Hull will issue a statement shortly, although there has been no comment from the relegation-threatened side as yet.

Livermore will not play for Hull again this season as he will be suspended, the paper says, and his loss will be keenly felt by his club.

The midfielder, formerly of Tottenham, has made 35 appearances in the Premier League this season, scoring once and claiming one assist.
